Job's mission

Own the end-to-end delivery of manufacturing transformation and MES digitization initiatives, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into executable programs that improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance. The role serves as the central driver of execution, governance, and value realization across Global Manufacturing.

What you will be working on

  • Establish and lead the Manufacturing PMO, driving execution excellence, manufacturing transformation, and digital enablement across Global Manufacturing.
  • Own the manufacturing transformation portfolio and roadmap, ensuring strategic manufacturing, operational excellence, and digital initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business value.
  • Own the MES digitization roadmap and lead end-to-end execution from discovery and design through deployment, adoption, and sustainment.
  • Lead delivery of high-impact manufacturing and digital programs, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, IT, system integrators, and external partners.
  • Drive adoption of portfolio management tools and practices that provide a single source of truth for initiative status, dependencies, risks, resource alignment, and benefits realization.
  • Define and embed project delivery standards, governance processes, and review cadences that enable effective prioritization, decision making, and accountability.
  • Lead internal and external delivery teams through solution design, integration, testing, deployment, and stabilization to ensure successful implementation outcomes.
  • Establish and monitor program, operational, and adoption KPIs, providing executive reporting, risk management, and benefits tracking.
  • Drive continuous improvement through MES and manufacturing data insights, delivering measurable gains in safety, quality, delivery performance, productivity, cycle time, yield, and waste reduction.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field; semiconductor industry experience (or equivalent complex manufacturing experience)
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering manager role, with tangible experience leading digital transformation or operational excellence initiatives in operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and drive measurable improvements in quality, cost, and efficiency.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.

What sets you apart

  • Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of process-improvement and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) certification
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Results-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering high-quality outcomes.

About ASM

At ASM, we’re shaping the future at the atomic level. We enable the next generation of microchips by empowering leading semiconductor manufacturers with advanced wafer processing equipment.

Through our mastery of thin-film deposition, we create the innovative tools and solutions that shape the materials at the heart of tomorrow’s technology – powering everything from AI and next-generation healthcare to cloud computing and smarter, more energy-efficient devices.

With over 4,600 people representing more than 60 nationalities across 15 locations worldwide, we’re united by one ambition: to stay ahead of what’s next. And with research centers in seven countries and nearly a quarter of our people and profits devoted to research and development, excellence is our baseline, not our finish line.

Our pioneering thin-film deposition technologies – like atomic layer deposition, epitaxy, silicon carbide, chemical vapor deposition and vertical furnaces – help our customers push the limits of performance, speed, and efficiency. Our strong patent portfolio, flat organization, and agile way of working enable fast collaboration, global mobility, and a competitive edge far beyond our scale.

Every day, we work to make integrated circuits smaller, faster, more energy-efficient, and more powerful. Together, we’re advancing technologies that unlock new potential and improve lives.
