With more than 4,500 ASMers representing 70 nationalities, our people and our advanced semiconductor devices are playing a crucial role in trends such as 5G, cloud computing, AI, and autonomous driving.  But we’re more than just a tech company. We value diversity, inclusion and sustainability as we strive to make a positive impact on the world. Our development programs help support your growth, shaping your future and pushing the boundaries of innovation to unleash potential.

Job’s mission

As a Senior Lead, Operational Excellence, you will strengthen ASM’s manufacturing and supply chain performance through transformation, data‑driven process improvements, and disciplined Lean capability building. You will lead high‑impact initiatives that drive efficiency, quality, speed, and operational maturity across our global network. Through coaching, collaboration, and technical leadership, you will help embed a culture of continuous improvement and equip teams to deliver meaningful, sustained change.

What you will be working on

  • Drive major Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous‑improvement transformation projects from scoping to deployment and long-term sustainment.
  • Build organizational capability by coaching Green Belts and Black Belts, supporting training programs, and ensuring consistent use of Lean, DMAIC, and statistical methodologies.
  • Partner with the Operational Excellence Director to translate strategic priorities into transformation roadmaps, governance structures, and prioritized project portfolios.
  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing and supply chain processes to reduce waste, enhance throughput, and improve cost, quality, service levels, and lead time.
  • Apply advanced analytics, process‑capability tools, and root‑cause techniques to identify issues and drive long-term improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, planning, and quality to drive alignment and ensure successful deployment of OE initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline, empowering teams to adopt Lean thinking in daily operations.
  • Manage OE governance processes, maintain a strong pipeline of improvement projects, and track performance indicators such as cost savings, inventory efficiency, and quality performance.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain, or a related technical field.
  • Certified Master Black Belt (or equivalent highest-tier Lean Six Sigma certification).
  • At least 15 years of experience in manufacturing and/or supply‑chain operations, ideally within high‑tech, capital equipment, engineering, or semiconductor environments.
  • Proven success leading large-scale transformation or process‑excellence programs with measurable operational impact.
  • Strong analytical and statistical problem‑solving capabilities, including experience with process capability analysis and Lean tools.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching Green Belts and/or Black Belts to deliver successful improvement projects.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder influence, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

What sets you apart

  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or high‑tech supply chain environments.
  • Background in global operations or transformation within a multinational enterprise.
  • Knowledge of SAP, ERP systems, planning tools, BI platforms, or process automation/digitalization technologies.

Apply today to be part of what’s next.

We make the tech that enables the chips in devices which improve lives around the world. We do this with an eye to the future, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible through cutting-edge innovation, and driving the next wave of technological breakthroughs that shape how we live, work, and connect.

About ASM

At ASM, we’re shaping the future at the atomic level. We enable the next generation of microchips by empowering leading semiconductor manufacturers with advanced wafer processing equipment.

Through our mastery of thin-film deposition, we create the innovative tools and solutions that shape the materials at the heart of tomorrow’s technology – powering everything from AI and next-generation healthcare to cloud computing and smarter, more energy-efficient devices.

With over 4,600 people representing more than 60 nationalities across 15 locations worldwide, we’re united by one ambition: to stay ahead of what’s next. And with research centers in seven countries and nearly a quarter of our people and profits devoted to research and development, excellence is our baseline, not our finish line.

Our pioneering thin-film deposition technologies – like atomic layer deposition, epitaxy, silicon carbide, chemical vapor deposition and vertical furnaces – help our customers push the limits of performance, speed, and efficiency. Our strong patent portfolio, flat organization, and agile way of working enable fast collaboration, global mobility, and a competitive edge far beyond our scale.

Every day, we work to make integrated circuits smaller, faster, more energy-efficient, and more powerful. Together, we’re advancing technologies that unlock new potential and improve lives.
