About the Role
As a Senior Investigation Specialist, you will serve as the lead investigator for allegations of abuse, neglect, and other reportable incidents. This role requires objectivity, attention to detail, and a commitment to fairness as you gather evidence, conduct interviews, and develop comprehensive investigative reports in collaboration with internal teams and state agencies.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct timely, thorough, and unbiased investigations into allegations referred by state oversight agencies (DDS, DCF, etc.)
• Collect and analyze documentary, testimonial, and supporting evidence
• Develop detailed investigative reports with findings, recommendations, and supporting exhibits
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Provide follow-up on recommendations from regulatory agencies
• Support the Investigation Oversight and Compliance Supervisor with caseload management, case review, and guidance on complex investigations
• Assist with training and provide direction to investigation staff as needed

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related Human Services field
• At least 5 years of experience in the I/DD field
• 2–3 years of investigative experience
• Certified Investigator through the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (DDS)
Preferred:
• 5+ years of investigative and/or supervisory experience
