
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Benefits Consultant to join our Health Benefits team within Total Rewards. This highly visible roleisresponsible forthemanagement ofthe severalhealth plans, including daily management, compliance, benchmarking, and designof certainmedical or other health and welfare plansThisrole owns key vendor relationships and serves as a strategic advisor to leadership helping to shape thebenefitsexperience for a large diverse population.
In this role, you will:
Oversee vendorperformanceon a daily basiswhich includes confirming plans are administered correctly,there is consistency across multiple vendors andplansare in compliance withall regulations, tracking of deliverables, leading independent audits, understanding vendorroadmaps.
Contributeto benefit program strategy, includingplan design and benchmarking toidentifyshort-term and long-term opportunities that would bring enhanced, competitive programs and offerings to the enterprise.
Engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise in thebenefitsfunction and serve as an expert advisor to leadership.
Measure andmonitorthe effectiveness of plan administration and customer service and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality.
Be accountable for ensuringregulatory, audit, and compliance processes for the Benefits Team are done in an efficient and effective manner,complying withnational, regional and enterprise standards as applicable
Representsthe Benefits Department and serves as subject matter expert (SME)or acts as project leaderin projects that affect benefits delivery, cross department projectsand onacquisition teams.
Socialize and gain agreement from internal and external partners to drive benefits initiatives forward.
Consult with internal partners on Benefits Administration and Service Delivery to ensure alignment with thebenefitsprograms as designed.
Provides member support through answering/resolving complex employee inquiries, escalations, and appeals,actas subject matter expert for plan interpretation from the Employee Service Center and vendors
Implement any plan design changes ornew programsofferings, including managingvendor, senior management presentations and change management efforts.
Reviewing plan materials such as annual enrolment and summary plan descriptions for accuracy and employee readability
Mentor,coachand provide work direction for junior benefits staff.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Benefits experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience managinghealth plan vendors at a large fully insured employerand driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement across vendor partners
Familiar with employee benefit communications and the review and distribution of relevant health insurance summary plan documents (SPDs) to diverse audiences
Applied experience with presentations to various stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience with analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Intermediateproficiencyin PowerPoint and Excel.
Workday experience (or similar HRIS)
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment.
Project management experience and/or skills including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, detailed planning, processmanagement,and documentation.
Ability to deliveraccurateresults with speed,agility,and consistency.
Knowledge and understanding of federal,stateand jurisdictional benefit laws and requirements.
Experience in articulation of issues,risksand proposed solutions, to various levels ofstaff and managementand ability to explain complex systems and processes to audiences that may not be experts in that field.
Outstanding problem solving and decision-makingskills.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$139,000.00 - $239,000.00
