The Senior Lead – Global L&D Operations role plays a strategic role within Global HR Delivery, responsible for leading the Global Learning Operations Support function from the India GCS.
The role is accountable for consolidating the existing Learning Operations teams in India, who currently provide operational and administrative support to Regional Learning & Development teams, into one integrated global function.
Working closely with Regional Learning & Development Centres of Excellence (CoEs), this role will identify opportunities to transition additional operational and administrative L&D activities into the GCS, establish consistent service delivery standards, and continuously improve operational efficiency through process standardisation, technology and automation.
This role responsible for building a world-class operational support function that enables Regional L&D teams to focus on strategic learning priorities while the GCS delivers efficient, consistent and scalable operational support across the employee learning lifecycle.
Transformation & Capability Expansion
Lead the consolidation of the existing Learning Operations teams supporting different regions into one integrated global team within the GCS.
Partner with Regional Learning & Development CoEs to understand their operational support requirements and identify administrative, transactional and specialist activities that can be transitioned to the GCS to improve efficiency, consistency and scalability.
Develop transition roadmaps, business cases and implementation plans, and lead end-to-end transition activities including knowledge transfer, process documentation and service stabilisation.
Continuously identify opportunities to expand the Global Learning Operations capability and improve service delivery through process standardisation, automation and technology.
Operations & Service Delivery
Lead the day-to-day delivery of Global Learning Operations services across supported regions, ensuring consistent, accurate and timely service delivery.
Oversee the delivery of operational support services including Learning Administration, LMS Administration, learner communications, training coordination, reporting, compliance administration, content management, vendor coordination and other shared services activities.
Establish and maintain governance frameworks, service catalogues, KPIs, SLAs and operational reporting to monitor performance and drive service excellence.
Drive process standardisation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives that improve operational efficiency and enhance the learner experience
People Leadership
Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Global Learning Operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
Lead the integration of existing regional support teams into a single global function with clear roles, consistent ways of working and defined career development pathways.
Build organisational capability through coaching, knowledge sharing, cross-training, succession planning and continuous learning.
Drive workforce planning and organisational growth to support the expansion of Learning Operations services within the GCS.
Stakeholder Management
Build strong partnerships with Regional Learning & Development CoEs and other global stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver effective operational support.
Influence stakeholders by demonstrating the value of the GCS through service excellence, operational efficiency, continuous improvement and successful delivery of transformation initiatives.
Provide regular updates to senior leadership on operational performance, transformation progress, key risks, opportunities and service improvements.
Key Competencies / Skills / Qualifications
Experience in Learning Operations, HR Shared Services, Global Business Services or HR Operations within a multinational organisation.
Experience in managing, coaching and developing high-performing teams
Proven experience leading operational transformation, service transitions and capability expansion within a Shared Services environment.
Strong understanding of Learning Operations, Learning Administration, Learning Technologies and operational support services.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
Experience working with Oracle HCM, Oracle Learning, Learning Management Systems (LMS) and reporting tools will be an advantage.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Learning & Development or a related discipline. A master’s degree or relevant professional certification will be an advantage.
12–15 years of experience in Learning Operations, HR Operations, Shared Services or Global Business Services.
Minimum 5 years of experience leading global teams, driving operational transformation and managing complex stakeholder relationships across multiple geographies.
Experience working within a global matrix organisation and supporting regional Centres of Excellence is highly desirable.
