The M1 Vulnerability Management role is part of Guardian’s Security Assurance Department in India and works closely with Guardian India and Guardian US teams. The role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing vulnerabilities and enabling remediation through Guardian’s Vulnerability and Exposure Management Program.
This role is intended for a seasoned vulnerability professional who can independently assess risk, apply exposure management concepts, and provide strong challenge and guidance to technology teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze vulnerabilities (CVEs) across infrastructure, applications, cloud, containers, code repositories, and emerging technologies.
- Assess exploitability, exposure, attack paths, mitigating controls, and business impact beyond CVSS.
- Apply Guardian vulnerability rating and exposure-based prioritization methods.
- Partner with infrastructure, platform, cloud, and application teams to drive remediation.
- Provide clear risk-based guidance and escalate unmanaged or high-risk issues.
- Support vulnerability rating, exception handling, and remediation tracking.
- Contribute to vulnerability risk reduction metrics and reporting.
- Continuously improve vulnerability management processes and automation.
Required Qualifications:
- 8–10 years of cybersecurity experience with 5+ years in vulnerability management or security assurance roles.
- Strong understanding of CVEs, exploit techniques, and exposure-based prioritization.
- Hands-on experience with Tenable, Qualys, Prisma Cloud, or similar tools.
- Proven stakeholder engagement and remediation leadership skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a global, cross-functional team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with exposure management, attack path analysis, and automation/scripting.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, containers, and SDLC security practices.
