The Senior Lead Engineer provides senior-level technical leadership across system architecture, product design, validation strategy, and quality compliance. The role ensures that engineering solutions meet customer requirements, regulatory expectations, and JE product and process standards. Additionally, the position drives automation, model‑based design, and data‑driven engineering improvements while serving as a key customer-facing technical representative.
A. Technical Leadership & System Architecture
Lead system architecture definition and customer-specific product adaptations.
Lead development of design rules ensuring manufacturability and robust mechanical/electrical engineering performance.
Provide expert guidance for complex technical decision-making across multidisciplinary domains.
B. Product Lifecycle & Toolchain Development
Lead change management and configuration control within PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter).
Develop engineering toolchain strategies and automation scripts to increase efficiency and consistency.
C. Validation & Compliance
Define validation and test strategies; ensure products meet compliance, safety, and customer-specific requirements (IATF, functional safety, QMS).
Drive detail-oriented engineering methods, documentation accuracy, and audit readiness.
D. Project Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Lead cross-functional project execution using hybrid methodologies (Agile for software, V-cycle for hardware).
Oversee scheduling, resource planning, and inter-team coordination to meet delivery milestones.
Resolve cross-functional conflicts and align teams around key engineering objectives.
E. Digitalization & Data-Driven Engineering
Lead digital tool adoption ensuring consistency across PLM, simulation, and test ecosystems.
Promote and implement model-based design practices.
Integrate simulation, lab, and field data to guide engineering decisions and drive continuous design improvements.
F. Customer & Executive Communication
Lead customer meetings, manage technical expectations, and ensure clear communication with OEM and Tier 1 stakeholders.
Manage communication with executives and global leadership to ensure alignment on technical topics.
G. Leadership & Mentoring
Mentor junior engineers and guide small engineering teams.
Lead adoption of new tools, technologies, and best practices across the engineering organization.
