About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Data Management Analyst within the Chief Data Office (CDO) to support Enterprise Data Issue and Data Defect Thematic Analysis for the Data Issue Management team. This role is critical to strengthening the CDO’s ability to identify systemic data risks by developing advanced analytical capabilities that surface patterns, themes, and cross‑issue dependencies across data issues and defects.


In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs
  • Design and conduct highly complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
  • Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
  • Recommend remediation of process or control gaps that align to management strategy
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
  • Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies
  • Partner with groups companywide to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution


Required Qualifications:

  • 10-12 years of progressive experience in Data Management, Business Analysis and in driving cross functional data quality or AI initiative end to end, within financial services or similarly regulated industries.

  • Practical GenAI application, pattern discovery and thematics, using GenAI techniques

    and strong working knowledge of prompt engineering, few-shot / chain-of-thought techniques, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures.

    7+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Analytical Thinking: Synthesizes data to inform decisions and balances innovation with practical execution.
  • Issue Remediation Expertise: Deep understanding of issue remediation processes, with proven experience partnering with or supporting large‑scale program offices to drive issue identification, tracking, escalation, and resolution.
  • Adaptive Problem Solver: Proven ability to thrive in environments with evolving requirements, effectively prioritize tasks, and bring creative, out‑of‑the‑box thinking to drive innovative approaches to data analysis.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Deep experience with generative AI models, including model prompting, tuning, GenAI environments and Python coding. Experience with enterprise AI model lifecycle management, AI compliance, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Management: Experience managing managers and building large high-performing teams, including global teams in India.
