Senior Lead Content Operations 1

As the Senior Lead, Content Operations & Deployment, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate, timely delivery of media content across our In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) and In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) platforms. You will be responsible for sourcing content from multiple service providers, performing rigorous quality assurance, and packaging and deploying content to the field on schedule. Content deployment includes traditional USB dispatchment as well as wireless content over terrestrial modem and satellite links.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across product, development, testing, deployment, and operations to identify, triage, and resolve content-related production issues. In addition, you will partner with product and software development teams to understand new features and services that impact content creation and delivery workflows.

Success in this role is defined by consistent, on-time content delivery and a seamless, error-free experience for end customers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Create, package, and deliver media content in alignment with airline contractual obligations on a monthly cadence.
  • Own and continuously refine the end-to-end content operations workflow, including documentation, updates, and process improvements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely content deployment across all platforms.
  • Define, review, and maintain process documentation, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Drive automation initiatives and continuous improvement to increase efficiency and reliability.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance tools, processes, and team effectiveness.
  • Engage cross-functional teams in triaging system interaction issues and driving them to resolution.
  • Define dashboards, metrics, and SLAs aligned with company goals, track and report performance.
  • Proactively identify defects through analysis of system data and logs.
  • Collect and analyze weekly and monthly operational metrics to support capacity planning and ongoing improvements.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of system functionality and the ability to analyze and resolve complex system issues.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to meet and exceed performance KPIs.

  • Working knowledge of Linux, Python, Bash, and Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience with prioritizing competing commitments and meeting deadlines
  • Familiarity with software development and testing, and content delivery workflows.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer or Software Engineering
  • Domain should be from Media & Broadcasting & aircraft
  • Minimum four years(4+) of experience in Media or Broadcasting & content Management.
    • Troubleshooting in complex systems
    • Writing Linux/Python scripts
    • Running basic IP/Networking commands for troubleshooting IP networks
  • Experience in SAFe Agile development
  • Driving process establishment and continuous improvement

OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS

  • Troubleshooting skills related to aircraft-based hardware, software, and system configurations.
  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi and wired Ethernet technologies.
    • Knowledge of IFC/IFE systems and any content/website distribution
  • Experience with IP networking.
