About this role:

Wells Fargo’s Consumer Payments team is seeking a Sr. Lead Business Execution Consultant to support the development and execution of the bank’s enterprise-wide payments strategy across Consumer, Small Business, and Commercial clients. This role will contribute to shaping Wells Fargo’s approach to payments innovation, by partnering with the senior leadership team to develop and implement plans to strengthen our differentiated market position and leadership in payments.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a trusted Business Execution advisor to Payments leadership, partnering closely with Human Resources and Finance to drive the day‑to‑day operating rhythm of the organization and ensure disciplined execution against strategic priorities.

  • Lead core management routines for the Payments organization, including staff meetings and key leadership forums by establishing clear agendas, structured decision frameworks, actionable follow‑ups, and accountability mechanisms.

  • Drive execution rigor by developing high‑quality leadership materials, including Business Unit Review (BUR) content, performance reporting, and executive presentations that enable informed discussion and effective decision‑making.

  • Oversee the tracking and management of key initiatives, providing transparent visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and critical milestones while ensuring alignment across teams and functions.

  • Foster cross‑functional and enterprise alignment by proactively engaging partners, connecting strategy to execution, and ensuring coordinated delivery across the organization.

  • Partner with Business Enablement teams to support governance and change management processes, enabling effective implementation, adoption, and ongoing oversight of strategic initiatives.

  • Support executive communications and stakeholder management by translating complex concepts into clear, concise messaging tailored for senior leaders and key stakeholders.

  • Provide direction to cross‑functional teams by leveraging deep business and execution expertise to align priorities, coordinate delivery efforts, and drive measurable outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience leading end‑to‑end digital product management initiatives, spanning strategy development, requirements definition, execution, and post‑launch optimization.

  • Demonstrated success delivering complex, high‑impact initiatives from concept through execution, with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and measurable business outcomes.

  • Hands‑on experience operating in Agile environments, partnering closely with engineering teams to define user stories, manage sprint cycles, and deliver high‑quality products on time.

  • Prior experience within a financial institution, data aggregator, fintech organization, or leading consulting firm supporting the financial services industry.

  • Strong analytical capabilities with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, enabling data‑driven decision‑making.

  • Experience navigating complex technology ecosystems to deliver integrated, seamless customer experiences across platforms.

  • Highly organized with strong coordination and time management skills; proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Demonstrated ability to define clear product priorities and develop outcome‑driven roadmaps aligned with broader business strategy and objectives.

  • Proven relationship‑building capability, with the ability to establish trust and influence effectively across internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks, with the ability to incorporate compliance considerations into product strategy and decision‑making.

Pay Range:

Minnesota: $139,000- $239,000annually

Actual salary will depend on location, experience, and qualifications.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
