The role:
A position has become available for an experienced landscape and civil senior estimator to join our team. We are looking for a capable, highly motivated individual with the drive to grow with our business. This is a full-time position based in our head office based at our Tweed Heads (Head Office).
To be successful in this role, the applicant will be a self-motivated professional with a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Complete commercial tenders from release of tender through to handover, for Developers, Builders and LGA Councils.
• Analysis of tender selection based on resources, timeframes and project requirements.
• Breaking down documentation into trades/suppliers and creating subcontractor scopes and packages.
• Measuring and quantifying all aspects of each project.
• Evaluations, comparisons and negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
• First principal pricing of hardscape, softscape and civil works.
• Construction programming and methodology writing.
• Formulating construction budgets for the site team.
• Assessment and pricing of variations.
Skills and Experience
To be a successful in this role you will have:
• Proven previous estimating experience with high attention to detail.
• Tertiary qualified and/or experience in commercial landscaping or commercial construction.
• Be team oriented and demonstrate an ability to produce information in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Sound computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook).
• Proficiency with PROCORE & CostX would be an advantage, but not a requirement.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
