Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Manages, coordinates and leads smaller, less complex landscape design projects independently with less oversight. Structures teams for these projects with clear understanding of the project’s roles and responsibilities. Prepares deployment based on the fee provided for review with the senior team.
• Leads client meetings and take ownership of the deliverable structure and content.
• Reads, qualifies, quantifies and graphically represents public realm standards applicable to projects and design tasks. Determines the correct source of public realm, sustainability standards (related to the public realm) and regulatory guidelines per region.
• Clearly demonstrates knowledge of the public realm design principles with the ability to translate vision frameworks established by senior staff into principles and objectives.
• Demonstrates a clear descriptive writing of landscape design principles and guidelines.
• Actively participates in internal and external workshops with ability to put together summary outcome reports. Leads teams of designers to prepare adequate material for workshops and client presentation following a clear story line set by design managers.
• Delivers designs independently with direction from senior team.
• Delivers entire technical landscape packages independently with review from senior team.
• Understands all applicable authorities’ requirements and coordinates with various discipline’s technical inputs into a project.
• Full understanding of the planting and irrigation requirements/standards and guidelines as per the region.
• Understands and learns to manage FINANCE REPORT/ PROJECT FINANCIAL STATUS from PM & Project lead.
• Provides updates for weekly studio/resourcing meetings.
• Fair knowledge of the market and help in reviewing landscape cost plans on projects.
• Gain experience on site for an ongoing landscape-built project and try to resolve key issues with the help of the senior team.
• Understands bid requirements and able to support on putting together bids technical approach and methodologies while supporting on delivery structure, coordinating input and implementing commercial aspects of bids.
• Organizes internal libraries and update project sheets for ongoing projects.
• Develops innovative design ideas and solutions through digital tools and personal skills.
• Be an advocate of quality procedures applicable to the landscape design technical practice group and apply continuously thorough self-checks and reviews of deliverables before being shared. Understand and reviews the documents as per PDS deliverable (QA/QC checks).
• Enhances standards of developed landscape design graphics (diagrams, photoshop and Lumion renders) across projects and documents the same for wider team use.
• Orients, integrates, guides and mentors new landscape recruits and provide them with access to the relevant sample material and projects. Provides mentorship / coaching to graduates and landscape architects.

Qualifications:

• +6-10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, with demonstrated expertise in design and project delivery
• Advanced proficiency with 3D visualization tools (SketchUp, Revit, or similar BIM platforms)
• Strong knowledge of landscape design principles, spatial planning, and site analysis methodologies
• Experience with GIS software and digital mapping tools for environmental analysis
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite for presentation and visualization purposes
• Comprehensive understanding of sustainable landscape design practices and environmental stewardship

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in landscape architecture with demonstrated expertise in design, project delivery, and team leadership
• Advanced proficiency with 3D visualization and BIM tools (SketchUp, Revit, or similar platforms)
• Strong knowledge of landscape design principles, spatial planning, site analysis methodologies, and public realm design standards
• Proven experience with GIS software and digital mapping tools for environmental analysis and site assessment
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite for presentation graphics, visualization, and technical documentation
• Comprehensive understanding of sustainable landscape design practices, environmental stewardship, and regional regulatory guidelines
• Demonstrated expertise in planting design, irrigation systems, and horticultural standards applicable to project regions
• Proven ability to lead client meetings, manage stakeholder communications, and deliver compelling design presentations
• Experience with project financial management, cost planning, and budget tracking
• Strong technical writing skills with ability to document design principles, guidelines, and project specifications
• Proficiency in quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures and technical documentation standards
• Experience in construction administration, site supervision, and resolution of field-related design issues
• Demonstrated mentoring and coaching capabilities with ability to guide and develop junior landscape architects
• Knowledge of bid preparation processes, technical approaches, and commercial project delivery structures
• Excellent organizational and project coordination skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
