We are looking for a Senior Landscape Architect to join our growing team. You will be an integral part of the Landscape Architecture team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects. You will lead, project manage and deliver multidisciplinary landscape architecture led design projects and maintain quality standards. A creative focus with excellent design and delivery experience alongside strong project management and communication skills. A key member of the team, promoting business vision, values and culture.
Working in our studio in Manchester, the role is part of a growing team with a diverse portfolio of challenging and exciting schemes across the UK. Ideally the successful candidate will be CMLI qualified with several years’ relevant experience within the profession with a passion for design, Landscape Architecture and the environment.

As a multidisciplinary consultancy, the successful candidate will work alongside our in-house urban designers, landscape planners, arboriculture, ecology and biodiversity net gain teams.
What you will do
  • Lead and manage high profile multi-disciplinary design projects from inception to completion through all Landscape Institute / RIBA work stages and offer advice and the benefit of your experience to the wider team and the business generally
  • Manage, develop and support a team of Landscape Architects
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and job running ability
  • Work under your own initiative or within a multidisciplinary team environment on individual project tasks, employing good organisational skills
  • Lead and promote design reviews through a consistent quality driven approach
  • Maintain quality standards and demonstrating efficient and profitable delivery
Who you are
We’re seeking a candidate with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.

You’ll bring:
  • A creative and talented designer
  • Demonstrable experience in leading projects and coordinating a team effort
  • Experience in undertaking detailed design and delivery of projects
  • Strong CAD and graphic (Adobe) capability
  • Aspirations to work on innovative schemes
  • Keen interest in landscape / environment
  • Initiative and drive, with a positive attitude
  • Strong knowledge of current planning and environmental legislation
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure to deadlines
  • Enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
  • Ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to work at all levels with colleagues and clients
  • Experience of NBS Specification Manager, Sketchup
  • Experience in delivery of projects in public realm, residential, leisure and commercial sectors
  • Experience in EIA and LVIA projects utilising GLVIA and other current guidance an advantage
  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
