Your Key Accountabilities

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Laboratory Technician to support catalyst preparation and laboratory experimentation. This role works closely with scientists, engineers, analytical teams, and other technicians to prepare samples, conduct experiments, document results, and maintain a safe and organized laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory experiments according to approved procedures and test plans.
  • Prepare chemical solutions, catalyst slurries, coated substrates, and catalyst samples.
  • Perform weighing, mixing, dispersion, washcoating, impregnation, drying, and calcination.
  • Operate laboratory equipment, including balances, mixers, pH meters, pumps, ovens, and furnaces.
  • Monitor experiments, identify unusual conditions, and support troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate and traceable records of samples, processing conditions, observations, and results.
  • Follow all safety, chemical-handling, waste-disposal, and equipment procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical and cross-functional teams.

Who we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in chemistry, materials science, process technology, or a related field; or
  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant laboratory, chemical-processing, catalyst-manufacturing, or materials-preparation experience.
  • Hands-on experience in a chemical, materials, catalyst, or industrial laboratory.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and perform basic laboratory calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and sample traceability.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
  • Strong commitment to safe laboratory practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One to three years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Experience with catalysts, coatings, slurries, inorganic materials, or chemical formulations.
  • Experience with washcoating, impregnation, drying, or calcination.
  • Experience operating laboratory mixers, pH meters, ovens, furnaces, or similar equipment.
  • Familiarity with SCR catalysts, emissions-control systems, metal oxides, or supported catalysts.
  • Experience working within established safety, quality, or environmental systems.
