A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Laboratory Technician to join us at our Drury site. We are looking for a motivated individual who either is experienced in Laboratory Testing or eager to learn and grow in this field. Whether you bring proven hands on experience in materials testing or the drive and willingness to develop your skills, we want to hear from you.
About you
This is a hands on senior role where you will be trusted to manage testing and sampling work, keep quality standards sharp, and support the day to day flow of the lab. The ideal candidate will have civil materials testing experience and have a solid understanding of quality control systems. You will have strong attention to detail, accurate record keeping and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
You will be someone who shows initiative, takes pride in their work and supports continuous improvement in the lab. A Tertiary Qualification will be helpful but not mandatory. Based in Drury, it’s a role with real responsibility, where your technical knowledge, leadership and eye for detail will help us deliver high standards for both the business and our customers.
Your main responsibilities will be as follows but not limited to:
Lead a site testing team, delegate duties throughout the team, ensuring work ins completed accurately, on time and to the required standards.
Constant communication with site engineers.
Product test reports for customers.
Maintain laboratory quality systems, calibrations, test summaries and registers in line with laboratory and IANZ requirements.
Support a strong safety culture by identifying hazards, following risk controls, and leading safe work practices every day.
Help supervise, train and support other technicians, building capability and a positive team environment.
Manage customer priorities, provide preliminary test information, and contribute to continuous improvement and R&D activity.
