Job Description

Your next Opportunity:

Based in Baulkham Hills, we are looking for a responsible and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Laboratory Technician working mainly in soils testing. Working as part of a team, this role reports directly to the appropriate Section Head and indirectly to the Laboratory Manager.

What you day will look like:

  • Conduct testing on quarry and recycled material accordance with laboratory work instructions, AS and RMS test methods, preparation instructions and manuals.
  • Prescribed calibrations and checks of laboratory test equipment.
  • Maintain, observe, and participate in the statutory Safety requirements of the Laboratory.
  • Maintenance of the Laboratory NATA accreditation requirements.
  • Other duties as directed by the Section Head and Laboratory Manager.

What we are looking for:

  • A commitment to safety and quality
  • Previous laboratory soils aggregates materials testing experience - NATA accreditation desirable
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or another relevant discipline such as Civil, Chemical or Materials is desirable but not essential
  • Well-developed skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data such as QestLab (in soils)
  • Knowledge of Australian and Industry testing standards
  • Strong analytical skills and a customer focus
