Job Description

Bank Mendes Gans is looking for a senior KYC Signatory who will be responsible for CDD quality checking of customers with complex organizational structures.

Roles and responsibilities

The KYC Signatory responsibilities consist of the following:

• Execute a deep understanding of KYC procedures, policy requirements and working instructions.
• Perform risk-based quality checks on complex CDD reviews and accompanying regulatory checks (FATCA, CRS and ESR).
• Provide clear feedback, explanation and guidance to different stakeholders to ensure that requirements are being applied correctly during the KYC process.
• Carry out and promote a risk-based attitude and decision-making.
• Execute the required balance between coaching in writing by means of checking of CDD reviews versus more in depth and tailored personal or teamwide coaching.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders on a daily basis (KYC Analysts/SME/KYC Coordination/Compliance)
• Manage multi-tasking under pressure, being able to prioritize and organize the daily workload based on urgencies and ad hoc requests.
• Identify and escalate common mistakes, patterns, overexplaining, providing further guidance and support to the KYC Analyst, aiming quality improvement and understanding of KYC requirements.
• Develop and lead trainings to KYC Analysts when needed.
• Guide and train junior KYC Signatories on development of coaching abilities and improvement of quality of CDD files and personal monthly completions.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferably within Legal or equivalent.
• Deep understanding of, and several years’ experience working with large and complex ownership and control structures, specific entity types, offshore structures, many layers of shareholdings.
• Profound knowledge of the BMG product portfolio (Cash Pooling, Netting).
• Several years working experience as senior KYC Signatory/Quality Checker.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot, KYC Orchestrator, Vantage (GRID).
• Full-time (36/40 hours per week).
