  Design, build, and operate API platform capabilities across Kubernetes and cloud environments.
• 
  Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to define API standards, automate onboarding, and enforce governance.
• 
  Establish and maintain GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines for declarative configuration and API lifecycle management.
• 
  Implement authentication, authorization, traffic management, and rate-limiting policies for APIs.
• 
  Ensure reliability, scalability, and observability of the API platform across distributed environments.
• 
  Contribute to the evolution of DevOps practices and drive automation, monitoring, and platform reliability improvements.
• 
  Provide internal support, documentation, and enablement for engineering teams adopting the platform.

Requirements

• 
  10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure roles.
• 
  Proven commercial, hands-on experience with Kubernetes and its ecosystem (CKAD/CKA).
• 
  Several years of experience working in the API space (design, security, management, and operations).
• 
  Strong DevOps background, having built and/or managed parts of a DevOps practice in a previous organization.
• 
  Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, with strong understanding of their services and operations.
• 
  Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, GitOps).
• 
  Strong knowledge of identity and security protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT).
• 
  Solid scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar).

• 
  Experience with Kong Gateway, Kong Konnect, and Kong Dev Portal.
• 
  Exposure to API versioning practices and API developer tooling (Insomnia).
• 
  Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
• 
  Background in observability, monitoring, and distributed tracing.
