About Wynn Al Marjan Island:

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE. Set to open in 2027, the resort will be located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. It will feature multiple swimming and wading pools, water features, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.

About the Position:

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Senior Kitchen Artist to join the Culinary team.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Lead the concept development, design, and execution of large-scale edible and non-edible artistic installations for buffets, banquets, special events, seasonal activations, and VIP experiences.
• Produce detailed sketches, scale drawings, and mock-ups to communicate concepts clearly to Culinary, Events, and Design teams.
• Safely operate and supervise the use of specialized carving tools and equipment (chainsaws, chisels, grinders) in line with safety standards.
• Manage the tempering, carving, transport, installation, and breakdown of large pieces within tight operational windows.
• Oversee daily operations of the kitchen artist station, including scheduling, inventory, equipment maintenance, and accurate records for production schedules and employee training.
• Collaborate closely with Culinary, Pastry and Bakery, Events, Banquets, Design, and Operations to align artistic installations with event flow, menus, and guest experience.
• Support the overall artistic vision, seasonal strategy, and signature resort experiences, and participate in pre-opening planning, concept development, and kitchen setup.
• Ensure all artistic production complies with food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and workplace safety regulations, especially during ice and tool-heavy operations.
• Maintain the highest luxury presentation standards, ensuring consistency with brand identity and visual storytelling across all outlets and events.
• Uphold company policies, comply with the Code of Conduct, and maintain grooming and hygiene standards in accordance with Department and Company expectations.
• Participate in the Company recycling program and support sustainability initiatives.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Advanced professional culinary knowledge with specialized expertise in artistic and sculptural culinary disciplines within a luxury hospitality or large-scale event environment.
• Formal culinary education or equivalent professional experience; specialized artistic culinary training considered an asset.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in luxury hospitality, with a focus on artistic culinary production.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, lead, and manage complex artistic culinary operations at Chef de Cuisine level or equivalent.
• Expertise in chocolate showpieces, ice carving, fruit and vegetable carving, sugar work, edible sculpture, and Styrofoam mock-up construction.
• Proven creative judgment and problem-solving capability to translate conceptual direction into executable three-dimensional presentations.
• Experience leading and developing skilled culinary teams, establishing standards and ensuring consistent quality outcomes.
• Physically able to lift and handle heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in cold environments including walk-in freezers.
• Accountability for operational delivery, safety compliance, and brand presentation standards.
• Effective cross-functional collaboration with Culinary, Pastry and Bakery, Events, and Operations, supported by strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
