Job Description

Senior Key Account Specialist

The Senior Key Account Specialist is responsible for driving clinical adoption, education, and product utilization of Inogen solutions across a defined territory that results in sales. This role supports National and Key Accounts and serves as the primary field-based educator and subject matter expert for Inogen products and processes. The Key Account Specialist ensures successful adoption, ongoing support, and long-term brand loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of strategic key accounts, driving revenue growth, new product adoption, retention, and overall account health.
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders, decision makers, and influencers within strategic accounts and conduct regular business reviews.
  • Manage relationships across multiple branch locations to generate demand and support growth.
  • Gather and analyze market and competitive intelligence.
  • Develop and execute quarterly and annual account plans outlining growth opportunities and potential risks.
  • Conduct in-services and training, identify evolving customer needs, and recommend aligned solutions.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer concerns and coordinate resolution with internal teams.
  • Educate, train, and coordinate members of the National Account Team.
  • Serve as the point of contact for product information, demonstration products, SKUs, RFPs, and volume agreement compliance.
  • Forecast account performance and maintain accurate records within CRM systems.
  • Increase customer adoption through education, insights, and strategic guidance.
  • Travel up to 75% as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Critical Knowledge and Skills (Must-Haves)

  • Strong expertise in account management, solution selling, and customer relationship development.
  • Ability to interpret data and customer insights to drive strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and sales technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development.
  • Demonstrated success managing high-value or enterprise-level accounts.
  • Industry certifications are a plus but not required.

Inogen assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $66,000.00 and $79,000.00 annually.
