Must-have Skills
- Strong expertise in Kafka, including Kafka Streams and Kafka Connect.Airflow and dbt Core.Building skills and agents.
- Experience with at least one of TypeScript, Kotlin, Python, or Java.
- Hands-on experience in managing Kafka infrastructure (not limited to AWS MSK).
- Proficiency in debugging, upgrades, and resolving Kafka broker issues.
- Solid understanding of Kafka configuration and scalability best practices.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and Airflow.
- Experience implementing monitoring and maintenance strategies for Kafka infrastructure.
- Experience integrating Kafka with other platforms and systems.
Nice-to-have:
- AI Tooling Proficiency Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
- Experience in cloud environments such as AWS.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for deploying and maintaining Kafka services.
- Knowledge of security best practices for Kafka.
