In Bulgaria, we are looking for a Java Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of modern banking solutions. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance backend services that support critical banking operations.

This is you

• Strong experience with Java development.

• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot

• Experience developing and consuming REST and/or SOAP web services

• Good understanding of relational databases and backend application design.

• Knowledge of application security principles and secure coding practices.

• Experience with performance optimization, troubleshooting, and system monitoring.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, mixed-team environment.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Previous experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated industries.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployment environments.

This is your role

• Design and develop backend functionalities for banking applications using Java and Spring/Spring Boot

• Build and maintain integrations with internal and external banking services, including REST and SOAP APIs

• Develop and optimize database interactions to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Implement and maintain security measures in line with banking standards, regulations, and best practices.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications to improve system stability and user experience.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decision-making.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
