Whatwill youdo? 

As the SeniorJavaEngineer,you willbe responsible fordesigning,modifying, developing,writingand implementing software programming applications for targetsystemusing agile methods. Youwillalso

• Designing,modifying, developing,writingand implementing software programming applications for targetsystemusing agile methods.

• Acquiringclient requirements; resolving workflow problems through automation optimization.

• Writing sourcecodesfor new applications, and/or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications.

• Utilizing automated testing tools to perform the testing and maintenance.

• Write source code for new applications, and/or generate and enhance code samples for existing applications.

• more juniorengineers andprovidethemguidancein creating structured application/interface code, newdocumentationand guides

• Stayup-to-datewith the latest trends and advancements in ITdevelopment

This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat DigitalITin the US.

What you have:

Background and experience:

• Degree from Computer Science or relevant field or equivalent experience. 

• Solid experience with Java 8 or higher and RESTful API development usingSpringboot

• Experience working with relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, or Oracle. 

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking:Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

• Effective Communications:Understanding of effective communication concepts, toolsand techniques; ability to effectivelytransmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application ofappropriate communicationbehavior

• Software Development:Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.

• Software Development Life Cycle:Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodologyfor delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace.

• Technical Knowledge:Solidknowledge of thesetools/technologies MS Azure Cloud, AWS, Java, Azure DevOps, Agile Scrum, CI/CD tools, MS SQL, Message brokers, ETL tools, Snowflake, DB2 (High level), APIs Design, High-performing distributed systems.

Top Candidates will also have:

• Software Integration Engineering:Knowledge of software integration processes and functions; ability to design, develop and maintaininterfaces and linkage to alternative platforms and software packages.

• Software Product Design/Architecture Knowledge of software product design; ability to convert market requirements intothe softwareproduct design.

• Software Product Technical Knowledge Knowledge of technical aspects of asoftware products; ability to design, configure and integrate technical aspects of software products.

• Software Product Testing:Knowledge of software product testing; ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and adherence to statedrequirements.
