AEVI are currently looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our Czech Republic Development team. The AEVI software development team is a small group of developers focused on delivering high quality solutions for its customers to help deploy, control and integrate the next generation modern payments terminals. We are working with the latest technologies, first class development tools and agile methodologies (scrum, kanban). You will be working in a team with a Scrum Master, Testers and a Business Analysts.

As a Senior member of the team, you will help coach and mentor our team and you will be engaged with payment experts to create innovative new online solutions for our partners, mainly on Back end projects using Java / Kotlin / SQL, Spring / Spring Boot, AWS, GitHub, IntelliJ, Copilot.

We are open to you working remotely or in the office, we offer a large amount of flexibility and let you decide what works best for you.

What you'll be doing: Senior Java Developer

• To be a first-line motivational coder
• To propose, defend and implement the best design patterns
• To mentor other team members
• To write a clean, reusable high-quality code within a microservices infrastructure

The successful AEVI'ator: Senior Java Developer

• Strong expertise in Java/Kotlin development, ideally full-stack with React
• Proven experience with Spring Boot and REST API design
• Solid understanding of software architecture, databases, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficient in reactive programming and modern development practices
• Familiarity with the Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence)
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a broad architectural perspective
• Self-sufficient and able to drive development independently
