Design and build robust backend systems that power scalable, high-performance applications

The Role
As a Back End Developer, you will design, develop, and optimize server-side applications that support complex business processes. Working within collaborative engineering pods, you will contribute across the software development lifecycle—analyzing requirements, solving technical challenges, and delivering reliable, scalable backend solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop backend solutions using Java and microservices-based architectures
  • Collaborate within engineering pods, contributing to shared delivery outcomes and ownership
  • Analyze information needs, system flows, and data usage to inform technical design
  • Build and integrate APIs (REST, SOAP, Microservices) across distributed systems
  • Refactor and optimize code to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in backend development using Java
  • Solid understanding of APIs (REST, SOAP, Microservices) and system integration
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle and engineering best practices
  • Familiarity with containerization and distributed computing concepts
  • Ability to work on complex coding and refactoring scenarios

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices
  • Exposure to event-driven architectures or messaging frameworks
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • Background in financial services or regulated industries
  • Experience in consulting or client-facing environments
