Compensation: $90,000 - $95,000 annual salary (US Dollars)

Operational Leadership

  • Provide strategic oversight and direction for janitorial operations across assigned accounts, facilities, or portfolios.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop janitorial managers, supervisors, and frontline staff to achieve operational goals and performance standards.
  • Establish and maintain cleaning standards, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct routine operational assessments and audits to ensure compliance with company standards and customer expectations.

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Serve as the primary technical expert on custodial best practices, cleaning procedures, equipment, chemicals, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs), training programs, and quality assurance processes.
  • Evaluate emerging cleaning technologies, automation solutions, equipment, and sustainable cleaning practices.
  • Provide guidance on floor care programs, specialty cleaning services, infection prevention protocols, and high-performance cleaning methodologies.
  • Support complex problem-solving and resolution of operational challenges across multiple locations.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Conduct regular facility inspections, audits, and performance reviews to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety procedures, environmental standards, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Maintain expertise in chemical safety, SDS documentation, proper equipment usage, and risk mitigation practices.
  • Investigate service issues, incidents, and customer complaints, implementing corrective action plans as needed.

Workforce Management

  • Partner with operations leaders to optimize staffing models, scheduling practices, and labor utilization.
  • Participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives for janitorial management and frontline teams.
  • Deliver advanced coaching, training, and leadership development programs.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, safety, and continuous improvement.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, facility management teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on janitorial operations and service delivery improvements.
  • Support contract transitions, new business implementation, and operational start-ups.
  • Participate in client presentations, business reviews, and service improvement initiatives.

Financial & Administrative Management

  • Assist with budget development, labor forecasting, and operational planning.
  • Monitor operational metrics, costs, productivity, and inventory management.
  • Analyze performance data and generate reports identifying trends, opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure efficient management of equipment, supplies, and cleaning chemical inventories.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Environmental Services, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive janitorial, custodial, environmental services, or facilities management experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience managing managers, supervisors, and large frontline teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial cleaning operations, floor care, equipment management, and custodial best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, workplace safety requirements, and environmental compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple sites, large teams, and complex operations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk facilities and conduct inspections for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop, and reach as required for inspections and operational support.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and emergency response situations when necessary.
  • Ability to travel between locations as required.
