Job Description

Core Functions:

  • Architect, administer, and optimize enterprise systems including physical/virtual servers, storage, networking, cloud environments, and hybrid integrations.
  • Manage Microsoft Azure/365 services (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, networking, security) and VMware environments (ESXi, vCenter).
  • Administer enterprise networking including LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, and firewall systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Provide Tier-3 support for Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, and Linux systems.
  • Lead disaster recovery planning, backup/recovery operations, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Drive system upgrades, migrations, and patch management with minimal business disruption.
  • Mentor IT Systems Engineers and Service Desk staff, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership on technology roadmaps, system standards, and future-state infrastructure planning.
  • Document architecture, procedures, and operational playbooks to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and practices to enhance infrastructure performance and security.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex incidents, troubleshooting, and resolving advanced technical issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields preferred, or at least 5 years of experience in supporting, rebuilding, updating, upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintaining all IT systems.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office environment. This role will routinely utilize standard office equipment to perform the core functions listed in this job description. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies as well as communicate verbally and electronically. The work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive reading to perform the core functions listed in this job description. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and in a non-temperature-controlled environment. While performing the core function of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, and required to lift to 35 lbs. This position is primarily working around machinery with moving parts, working around moving objects or vehicles. The employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach/pull/push/grab with hands and arms, kneel, and crouch, twist and bend. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or crawl.
