About the role:

Are you an experienced IT professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while helping shape a modern IT environment? As a Senior IT Service Engineer, you'll join our dedicated IT Service team in Sevenum, where you'll support both office-based colleagues and IT operations at Redcare's largest logistics hub, while contributing to our ongoing cloud transformation and ensuring a reliable IT experience across the business.

About the tech stack:

You'll work with a modern and evolving technology landscape, including Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Microsoft 365 Products, Jira, Windows and macOS. As we continue moving towards cloud-based solutions, you'll have opportunities to contribute to improvements in our endpoint management and IT service processes.

About your tasks:

• Take ownership of technical challenges: Act as a senior point of contact for IT support, investigating and resolving complex hardware, software, system and network connectivity issues while ensuring colleagues receive reliable and effective technical assistance. You'll also create technical documentation for the team and users.
• Support our office and logistics operations: Provide hands-on IT support to colleagues across our offices in Europe and our Sevenum location, including its logistics hub, troubleshooting technical issues and helping ensure that both office users and warehouse operations can work efficiently with minimal disruption.
• Contribute to our cloud transformation: As we prepare to move towards a more cloud-based IT environment, support the team in adopting technologies such as Microsoft Entra ID and Intune, contribute your technical expertise and help colleagues build confidence with these tools.
• Drive IT projects and improvements: Contribute to the planning and implementation of new software, systems and IT tools, taking ownership of technical initiatives and identifying opportunities to improve service efficiency.
• Share knowledge and strengthen IT services: Collaborate closely with your IT Service colleagues and other technical teams, support the resolution of complex incidents, document solutions and share your expertise to continuously improve how we deliver IT support.

Qualifications

About you:

• You have completed vocational training in IT and bring at least 5 years of hands-on experience in IT support, IT service operations, IT client operations, system administration or a comparable technical role, ideally within an in-house IT environment.
• You have strong practical experience with Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365 Products and Active Directory/Entra ID, alongside endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Intune, and enjoy investigating and resolving complex technical issues.
• You enjoy working independently, taking ownership and improving how things work. Experience participating in IT projects, working with PowerShell or applying ITIL-based service management practices would be an advantage. Previous experience supporting IT operations in a logistics or warehouse environment would also be beneficial.
• You communicate confidently in English, while German language skills are highly desirable, as German is widely spoken within the IT Service team and at our Sevenum location. Dutch language skills would be an additional advantage. You enjoy sharing your technical knowledge and supporting colleagues with different levels of technical expertise in an international environment.
