Senior IT Security Specialist / Security Project Manager
We are looking for a Senior IT Security Specialist to lead and implement security initiatives across enterprise IT environments. This role combines project management, technical security expertise, and advisory responsibilities to strengthen the organization's cybersecurity posture across infrastructure, software development, and operational technology environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver end-to-end security projects, including planning, coordination, implementation, and delivery
- Define and improve security processes, procedures, and controls
- Ensure security-by-design principles across digital projects
- Implement and optimize security solutions such as Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Active Directory, and IAM platforms
- Analyze incidents, troubleshoot complex security issues, and recommend structural improvements
- Advise internal stakeholders on security architecture, risk mitigation, and technical security best practices
- Support compliance initiatives and audits aligned with frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and CyberFundamentals
- Contribute to proactive security posture management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote security awareness and best practices across technical teams
Required Skills
- Strong experience in security project management and technical implementation
- Advanced expertise in cybersecurity, security architecture, and IAM
- Strong background in enterprise infrastructure and system engineering
- Experience with networking, Microsoft security technologies, and security governance
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks and standards
- Familiarity with NIS2 is a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Hands-on mindset combined with strategic thinking
Languages
- Dutch (native or bilingual proficiency)
