About the Role

As an experienced Information Security Officer, you will play a pivotal role in defining Daikin Europe’s Information Security strategy (Fusion30) and the multi-year roadmap to reach the strategic objectives. You will work closely with the Information Security leadership to ensure that our systems, services, and data remain secure, resilient, and compliant with evolving regulatory frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001 and NIS2.

This role is embedded in the IT Planning department and contributes directly to the development and operation of our Information Security Management System (ISMS).
You will act as a subject matter expert and mentor to junior team members and collaborate with external Security specialists and service partners, while also coordinating with security leaders across more than 40 Daikin Group locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of the ISMS.
• Define the processes and controls to verify that we stay compliant with our own policies and that gaps, deviations are properly documented and get remediated
• Architecting Information Security at Daikin EMEA.
• Coordinate and contribute to security-related projects & roadmap.
• Serve as the primary security liaison for specific business domains or sites, ensuring local compliance with global security policies.
• Serve as prime contact for internal and external audits, and contribute to certification readiness (e.g., ISO27001).
• Actively participate in the development of security governance.
• Provide (Security knowledge) coaching and guidance to junior Information Security Specialists and other stakeholders on security best practices by following latest trends in Information Security.

Required Qualifications

• Proven relevant experience of which 5 years in information security, preferably in a multinational or regulated environment.
• Knowledge of ISMS frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards (ISO27001, NIS2, GDPR).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments and geographies.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO27001 Lead Implementer) are a plus.
