Brief Job Overview

The Information Technology Project Manager will plan, establish, and manage information technology (IT) projects and will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects. In this role, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for the administration of network and server infrastructure projects, planning & execution of technology projects, managing project management processes, implementing technology security and the execution of all technology-related tasks and initiatives. In addition this role shall have a responsibility to establish and manage service delivery framework across functions including delivery governance and vendor performance management.

The Sr. IT Project Manager has the following responsibilities:

40 % - Initiate, Plan, Execute and Control assigned Projects.

35 % - Service Delivery, Reporting, Project status updates, and Insights presentation

15 % - Vendor Management & Contracts management

10 % - New Projects discovery, business case preparation and documentation.

  • Manages assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project.
  • Develops and maintains proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.
  • Introduces project management principles and best practices; implements global processes within India projects and facilitates structured project management approach to managing IT projects.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with stakeholders across business functions, IT teams, external vendors and third parties.
  • Enables exchange of ideas, facilitate collaborative conversations, identify key dependencies, and drives consensus within stakeholders and project teams.
  • Identifies, documents, and proactively communicates risks, issues, dependencies with appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills in driving a common objective while dealing with stakeholders with differing views, objectives, and approaches.
  • Sets and tracks project milestones in accordance with project requirements and timelines; develops comprehensive schedule accounting for unknown variables.
  • Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to stakeholders.
  • Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.
  • Conducts Project learnings sessions and documents learnings and takeaways.
  • Helps develop and Implements metrics-oriented service delivery framework for delivery functions across departments.
  • Develops data-oriented performance measures to effectively manage project management tasks.
  • Analyses business requirements and develops workflows to deliver outcomes aligned to business objectives.
  • Works closely with business to understand their work requirements, proactively identifies pain areas, brainstorms ideas, and builds strong working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Works with stakeholders to identify opportunities to implement technology solutions; undertakes business case studies and presents business benefits.
  • Works with Internal IT teams to work on continuous improvement projects adding value to business.
  • Works on new cross-functional initiatives; designs and implements service delivery framework where applicable.
  • Proactively engages, coordinates and manages vendors keeping USP interests at forefront.

Who USP is Looking For?

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:

  • Bachelors / master’s degree.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Cumulative experience of 10-15 years in IT
  • Minimum of 7-8 years of relevant experience in independently managing small & medium IT projects independently.
  • Background in Automations will be an advantage.
