Senior IT Manager / Head of IT | Asset Management / Fintech (Virtual Assets, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Cloud Operations)

The Company is a well-established, Hong Kong-based investment manager with a proven track record in regulated financial markets. Renowned for its strong governance and institutional-grade approach, the firm offers tailored solutions to institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals seeking secure and innovative investment opportunities.

Amid evolving industry standards and rapid growth, the company is seeking a strategic and pragmatic Senior IT Manager to oversee its core technology operations spanning infrastructure, cybersecurity, end-user services, and cloud environments. This leadership role will be instrumental in safeguarding the company's digital assets, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting business transformation in a dynamic regulatory landscape. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive IT strategy and take ownership of mission-critical systems, focusing on reliability, compliance, and efficiency across all IT domains.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes the companys IT roadmap, prioritizing security, scalability, and business alignment across infrastructure, applications, and service layers.
• Oversees daily IT operations including network infrastructure, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), on-premises systems, storage, and user supportensuring continuous availability and performance.
• Leads the cybersecurity function, managing threat prevention, incident response, regulatory compliance, and ongoing risk assessment in accordance with industry standards.
• Collaborates cross-functionally with executive and business stakeholders to assess technology needs and recommend practical, cost-effective IT solutions that support business objectives.
• Manages vendor relationshipsincluding selection, contract negotiation, and performance oversightfor technology hardware, software, and managed services.
• Establishes robust IT governance, policies, and documentation to meet regulatory requirements, safeguard information assets, and support business continuity.
• Stays abreast of emerging technologies and regulatory changes to support the companys ongoing digital transformation and risk management initiatives.
• Leads and mentors a small IT team, setting clear goals, fostering professional growth, and ensuring high standards of service delivery.
• Acts as the lead point of contact for IT matters during audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; Masters degree strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in IT operations and management, preferably within regulated financial services, asset management, or banking/insurance environments.
• Solid expertise in enterprise-grade IT infrastructure, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure), secure networking, and system administration.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory compliance (SFC, MAS, or similar), and data protection best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver stable, secure, and compliant IT environments in line with regulatory and industry requirements.
• Proven experience managing IT projects, service providers, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, PMP, or CompTIA Security+ are highly valued.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, collaborative approach.
• Experience operating in a dynamic, multi-jurisdictional business landscape with shifting priorities.
