We are currently seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy!

The Senior IT Business Analyst – Operations acts as a key interface between Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and IT. The role is responsible for translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications, ensuring that enterprise applications supporting operations are effectively designed, integrated, and continuously improved.

The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience in complex, multinational environments or consulting, with strong exposure to ERP-centric operations landscapes and advanced manufacturing and planning systems.

What kind of work will you be doing?

  • Act as a trusted partner to Operations stakeholders (Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Inventory, Quality) to understand business needs and translate them into IT solutions.
  • Analyze, design, and document end-to-end business processes across:
    • Demand & Supply Planning
    • Inventory Management
    • Manufacturing & Shop Floor Execution
    • Inbound and Outbound Logistics
    • Basic Quality Management processes
  • Lead functional analysis activities for ERP-based operations processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and global standards.
  • Support the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of:
    • Advanced Planning Systems (APS) and their integration with ERP and downstream systems
    • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and their integration with ERP
    • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and their integration with ERP and shop floor equipment
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects, Developers, System Integrators, and Vendors to ensure coherent application architecture and seamless system integrations.
  • Prepare high-quality functional and technical documentation, including:
    • Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
    • Functional Specifications (FS)
    • Technical Specifications (TS)
    • Process flows and integration diagrams
  • Support project delivery activities, including solution validation, testing (SIT/UAT), defect triage, and go-live readiness.
  • Contribute to governance, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives within the operations application landscape.

What will make you successful?

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in:
    • Complex multinational organizations or
    • Top-tier consulting / system integration environments
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale, enterprise operations and supply chain solutions.

Operations & Systems Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of core operations processes:
    • Planning, Inventory, Manufacturing
    • Inbound & Outbound Logistics
    • Foundational Quality processes
  • Solid experience managing operations processes within an ERP environment
  • Strong knowledge of Advanced Planning Systems (APS) and their integration with ERP and surrounding applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), warehouse processes, and ERP integration.
  • Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), including:
    • Shop floor integration
    • ERP and application architecture alignment
  • Preferred ERP: Oracle EBS (Release 12.9)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business scenarios.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills in multicultural, global environments.
  • Structured and pragmatic approach to work, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Solid project management skills, including planning, prioritization, and risk awareness.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced transformation programs and evolving operational landscapes.

Education:

  • Master Degree in Management Engineering, Information Technology or other STEM related degrees.
