Role:

This role is primarily responsible for Deployment, Supplier Enablement, Stakeholder management, Catalog Support, grief resolution along with developing and testing Artificial Intelligence (AI) use cases in the Americas Region for Caterpillar Indirect Procurement systems.

Primary Solutions of GFSD Digital Excellence Team Includes:

• Guided Buy – GEP SMART
• NextGen – Coupa

Secondary Solutions:

• Third Party Labor – IQ Navigator / Beeline
• My Caterpillar Travel Expense (MCTE) – SAP Concur
• Expense and Procurement Card Programs

This position will help support the internal Indirect Procurement organization as well as key stakeholders across the enterprise.

People Works effectively with colleagues, customers, and suppliers at all levels.

Leadership No direct reports. Will demonstrate Coupa, ERP, Database, and Project management skills required to collect, compile, assimilate, communicate, and maintain information as required. Incumbent will assess and recommend solutions. Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards within this diverse global organization.

Strategy Help customers with configuration, deployment, testing, communication, change management, Artificial Intelligence, supplier enablement, catalog support, master data collection, training, troubleshooting, grief resolution and hyper care-related activities

Education requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Advanced English Conversational

What skills the ideal candidate will have:

Core Application Systems

• Several years of hands-on Coupa expertise, managing and supporting core procurement application workflows.
• Background in ERP systems, with a solid understanding of how core applications integrate and interact with enterprise platforms.
• Manages application-related issues and implications while communicating effectively with stakeholders and users.

Problem Solving

• Develops successful resolutions to critical or wide-impact problems through analytical and structured approaches.
• Applies varying problem-solving techniques while learning from prior incidents and capturing lessons learned.
• Demonstrates a great attitude to learn, adapt, and continuously enhance problem-solving methods, including exposure to AI-driven solutions.

Requirements Analysis

• Plays an active role in gathering, documenting, and maintaining functional and business requirements.
• Produces detailed requirement documentation for system enhancements and integrations.
• Requires effective communication skills (oral and written) to translate business needs into clear technical requirements.

System Testing

• Designs and executes testing processes to ensure systems meet functional and operational expectations.
• Evaluates interoperability between Coupa, ERP systems, and other enterprise applications.
• Supports validation of system changes during beta or pre-production phases.

Technical Troubleshooting

• Discovers, analyzes, and resolves application, platform, or integration issues within Coupa and ERP environments.
• Analyzes logs, configurations, and system behavior as part of advanced troubleshooting activities.
• Utilizes strong technical knowledge and a collaborative work style to resolve complex issues efficiently.

IT Service Management (ITSM)

• Applies IT service management principles to ensure consistent and reliable application support.
• Promotes the use of standardized procedures across IT service functions.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and service stakeholders.

Learning & Innovation (Cross-Functional Capability)

• Exhibits a strong attitude to learn and implement new technologies, including AI models and emerging tools.
• Actively seeks opportunities to improve systems, processes, and service delivery through continuous learning and innovation.

The best candidates will also have:

• Advanced Conversational English
  • Intermediate to advanced level: Coupa
  • Intermediate level: ERP systems (SAP, etc.)
  • Intermediate to advanced level: Coupa–ERP integrations and system troubleshooting
  • Guided Buy / NextGen Deployment Background
  • Should have an attitude to learn and deploy AI Agents in Coupa and Guided buy
  • Very good Interpersonal skills and stakeholder management

Additional information:

Location: Acuña, Coahuila

This position is Monday through Friday and requires 5 days onsite
