Reports To

IT Manager

What You Will Be Doing

As a Senior IT Administrator, you will own and operate critical IT infrastructure across one or more specialized domains — Microsoft 365, Okta, Kandji, Intune, and JumpCloud. You will work directly with the IT Manager to keep enterprise systems running, secure, and well-integrated across a global organization. This role operates on PST hours (night shift from India) to provide real-time coverage for ChargePoint’s US-based teams and end users.

Your day-to-day work spans hands-on administration, incident response, cross-team collaboration, and continuous improvement of the tools and processes that keep ChargePoint’s workforce productive. You will be based in the Bengaluru office, working on-site in night shift.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Administer and maintain enterprise platforms including Microsoft 365, Okta, Kandji, Intune, and JumpCloud — managing user lifecycle, access policies, device configurations, and compliance baselines.
  • Serve as the escalation point for Tier 2/3 issues related to identity management, endpoint management, and SaaS tooling during PST business hours.
  • Plan and execute software deployments, OS updates, security patches, and configuration changes with minimal end-user disruption.
  • Monitor system health, performance metrics, and security alerts — proactively identifying and resolving issues before they affect users.
  • Collaborate with Security, Engineering, and Help Desk teams to enforce IT policies, harden endpoints, and respond to security incidents.
  • Automate repetitive administrative tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or platform-native scripting to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding workflows, ensuring timely provisioning and de-provisioning of accounts, devices, and access.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing tooling and workflows based on operational data and emerging best practices.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

We are looking for a Senior IT Administrator with at least 5 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure. You should have deep working knowledge of one or more of the following: Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID), Okta, Kandji, Intune, or JumpCloud. Experience operating in a global environment where you coordinate across time zones and work independently during off-hours coverage is important.

You are someone who takes ownership of problems end to end, communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and stays current with evolving technologies. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and new challenges surface regularly.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT administration, systems engineering, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated expertise with one or more of the following: Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID/Azure AD), Okta, Kandji, Intune, JumpCloud.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Experience with identity and access management (SSO, MFA, SCIM provisioning, conditional access policies).
  • Working knowledge of endpoint management and MDM solutions for both macOS and Windows fleets.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or equivalent).
  • Ability to work PST hours (night shift from India) to provide real-time support for US-based operations.
  • Available to work on-site in the Bengaluru office at least 4 days per week.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working across geographies and time zones.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, Okta Certified Administrator, or equivalent (good to have).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (good to have).
  • Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or Freshservice (good to have).
