We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Associate 2/Asst. Manager to join our Transfer Agency team within the Private Equity Fund Administration business. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end investor servicing activities, supporting capital activity processing, investor communications, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of private equity fund structures and experience in investor operations or transfer agency services.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Transfer Agency function for assigned private equity funds.
Execute capital calls, distributions, investor creation and transfers in accordance with investor documentation and internal SLA.
Maintain and update the investor registry and related documentation, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Support KYC/AML review and onboarding process for new investors in coordination with compliance and legal teams.
Review and approve investor notices, statements, and reporting packages prior to dissemination, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
Liaise with internal teams (fund accounting, legal, compliance, etc.) and external stakeholders (clients, investors, auditors).
Manage multiple client mailboxes efficiently, ensuring all investor queries are addressed in a professional and timely manner.
Demonstrated strong understanding of fund and investment structures, enabling thorough comprehension of capital activities and effective resolution for audit inquiries. Skilled in analyzing complex investment frameworks to support audit requests and ensure compliance.
Participate in system enhancements, process improvements, and UAT testing where applicable.
Provide training and mentorship to junior team members while assisting the Manager/AVP in managing workflows.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
6–7 years of experience in Transfer Agency or investor services, preferably within private equity or alternative investments.
Strong knowledge of private equity fund structures (e.g., LP/GP, capital calls, distributions, equalization).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with fund administration systems (e.g., Investran, Geneva, Intralinks, Investor Vision, Investor portal, etc.) is a plus.
Understanding of KYC/AML requirements and investor onboarding processes.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
