Senior Investment Data Management Analyst

Department Overview

The Global Data Services (GDS) team within Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) is a global, investment data management organization that specializes in the sourcing, analysis, integration, management and distribution of security, index, and portfolio data. GDS provides these data services for reference, evaluative, performance and analytical data in support of global investment decision making organizations. Data Management Operations (DMO), a division of GDS, specializes in managing, integrating and validating vendor and Fidelity-defined data associated with investment entities (securities, issues, brokers, funds, portfolios and index data).

The Senior Investment Data Analyst will perform critical functions to support daily including oversight of daily workload distribution to ensure helpdesk and project assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner.

The Expertise You Have

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance or related field required

• 7 plus years Financial Services Industry experience and and knowledge of trading and industry practices/tools

• Data Management experience essential

• Working knowledge of Security reference and Index reference data is a distinct advantage

• Previous management experience in financial services beneficial

• Daily workflow management experience, ensuring work is completed within SLA and working on identifying possible causes of missed SLAs

• Exceptional attention to detail with and experience in reviewing others work

• Your ability to think analytically and deliver solutions to complex challenges and recognize when escalation is required

• Strong process management and decision-making skills

• Experience in coaching and developing junior team members

• Excellent understanding and application of MS Office tools

• Relationship building skills across the global teams, business units, and organization

• Team player who takes initiative and thinks across Fidelity

• Lead the team day to day to ensure data quality processes efficiencies and risk management

• Prioritizing and handling critical issues that are received from clients/ business including while ensuring trading requests are completed within 30min SLA

• Quickly identify production issues and work with technology and the business to ascertain impact and recognizing when escalation is required

• Reviews database queries to analyze and validate data for problem resolution for ad-hoc customer questions or issues that result from data surveying

• Driving high satisfaction, quality, and efficiency for both GDS and the client

• Delivering superior results quickly and efficiently, utilizing effective time management skills

• Driving innovation through curiosity and comprehensive understanding of business processes and challenges
