The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As Senior International Business and Market Development Leader (m/f/x)*, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leading market development efforts to expand the HIS international business by identifying and qualifying new market entry opportunities, supporting the development of a market entry strategy and business case to pursue them;
  • Building and sustaining trusted relationships with C-level stakeholders across ministries of health, payers, regulators, healthcare provider systems and strategic business partners in targeted international markets;
  • Positioning HIS’s value proposition with senior decision makers, and directing the global marketing team in framing our clinical documentation, coding, classification, analytics and consulting capabilities in the language of each stakeholder’s strategic priorities
  • Establishing a regular cadence of executive engagement – executive dialogues, briefings, workshops, site visits – that keeps HIS present in the conversations that shape healthcare reform across all international markets
  • Leading cross-functional international growth initiatives by aligning country leaders, sales teams, product, marketing and consulting stakeholders around prioritised market opportunities.
  • Translating reimbursement reform, digital health policy and provider-transformation trends into a prioritised international pipeline of strategic commercial opportunities for the HIS portfolio.
  • Providing leadership in shaping and winning complex strategic enterprise deals, public tenders and multi-year framework agreements, in partnership with country and sales teams.
  • Acting as a “voice of the international customer” inside HIS, influencing portfolio, product and go to market decisions for international markets
  • Traveling internationally on a regular basis to be present with your accounts and partners, building the in-person trust and visibility that long-cycle, C-level relationships require

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Masters Degree or higher AND ten years of experience in healthcare and/or government markets

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Ten years of experience in international leadership roles
  • Ten years of experience in international business development or key/government account management across multiple countries
  • Ten years of experience in business operations and sales strategy
  • Ten years of experience building and maintaining C-level relationships with health authorities, payers, regulators or large provider organizations
  • Demonstrated track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals or public sector engagements with multi-year contract value

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master’s degree in business administration from an accredited institution
  • Ten years of healthcare IT or hospital market experience
  • Skills include excellent analytical, communication, strategy, negotiation and leadership skills

Work location:

  • Remote

Travel: May include up to 50% international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
