Compensation: $70,000-$80,000 per annum

Who You Are
• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field, along with 3+ years of experience in internal audit, public accounting, finance, risk management, consulting, or compliance.
• You have a solid grasp of internal controls, risk assessment methodologies, and auditing practices, and you're an analytical problem-solver who communicates findings clearly.
• You work independently, manage multiple priorities with ease, and bring objectivity, professional skepticism, and a genuine interest in helping teams improve.
Tepperman's is looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join our Risk Management team. Reporting to the CFO, you will provide independent, objective assurance and advisory services that help us manage risk, strengthen internal controls, and improve how we operate. You will lead risk-based audits across the business, from retail operations and customer financing to eCommerce, supply chain, technology, and corporate functions, acting as a trusted advisor who helps teams identify smarter, more effective ways of working while supporting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for:
• Developing and executing a risk-based internal audit plan, leading operational, financial, compliance, and technology audits from planning through reporting.
• Evaluating the design and effectiveness of internal controls, governance practices, and business processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and risks.
• Supporting the company's enterprise risk management program, including risk assessments, maintaining the risk register, and reporting to leadership.
• Applying data analytics and continuous monitoring techniques to financial and operational data to uncover trends, anomalies, and control weaknesses.
• Assessing IT and cybersecurity controls, including access management, change management, data security, and third-party risk.
• Supporting fraud risk assessments, investigations, and promoting awareness of ethical business practices.
• Participating in system implementations and major projects to help ensure strong controls are built in from the start.
• Preparing clear, actionable audit reports and recommendations, and tracking corrective action plans through to completion.
• Building strong relationships across the business while maintaining objectivity and professional skepticism.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in internal audit, public accounting, finance, risk management, consulting, or compliance.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, risk assessment methodologies, and auditing practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
