Senior Intelligence Technical Editor / Reporter

Location: Fort Meade, MD Company: Leidos – National Security Sector

Leidos is seeking an experienced Senior Intelligence Technical Editor/ to join our team at Fort Meade. In this role, you will ensure the clarity, accuracy, and analytic rigor of intelligence products that directly support national security decision‑makers. If you thrive at the intersection of language, tradecraft, and mission, this is where your expertise makes a measurable impact.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with analysts, fellow editors, and web developers to ensure all analytic products conform to established templates, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and agency‑specific publication standards.
  • Provide editorial support to analysts producing written assessments, ensuring clarity, logic, consistency, and adherence to analytic tradecraft principles.
  • Independently edit, design, and manage the content of finished multimedia intelligence publications.
  • Prepare and post finalized products to external‑facing platforms in accordance with dissemination protocols.
  • Review intelligence products for grammar, punctuation, syntax, structure, and narrative coherence.
  • Ensure style, formatting, and terminology align with agency standards, style guides, and specialized vocabulary relevant to the subject matter.
  • Maintain consistency and readability across diverse audiences, from tactical operators to senior policymakers.

Required Experience

  • At least two years of experience using desktop publishing tools, basic graphics techniques, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, HTML, XML, and Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated experience ensuring compliance with Intelligence Community Directives and intelligence/investigative publication standards.
  • Proven ability to maintain consistency, clarity, and readability across complex analytic content.

Required Security Clearance: Must have a current TS/SCI and if required, pass a polygraph after being hired.

Education & Experience Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following combinations:

  • High School Diploma and 20+ years of relevant experience, with at least some experience within the last two years.
  • Associate’s Degree and 16+ years of relevant experience, with at least some experience within the last two years.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 14+ years of relevant experience, with at least some experience within the last two years.
  • Master’s Degree and 12+ years of relevant experience, with at least some experience within the last two years.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $82,550.00 - $149,225.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
