The Boeing Company is seeking a highly motivated Senior Integration Systems Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX
In this critical role, you will support one or more Exploration Systems development programs by participating in the full Systems Engineering and Integration lifecycle — from defining requirements to building and certifying space exploration hardware and software. You will collaborate closely with multiple product groups, discipline engineers, industry partners, and customers to deliver high-quality solutions that advance human spaceflight.
As a key member of a close-knit engineering team, you will work across all levels of management and technical disciplines to address complex challenges and ensure seamless technical integration. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, technical leadership, and relationship-building skills to effectively support mission success and program objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead or support Architecture Definition activities
Lead or support iterative Design Analysis Cycles to ensure ongoing project evolution through refinement of system architectures, functionalities, and interfaces until the integrated design meets all requirements
Contribute to the development and evolution of Concepts of Operation
Perform functional analysis, decomposition, and allocation to enable the Concepts of Operation
Lead or support the Definition of Requirements
Lead or support Verification and Validation planning, execution, and documentation activities
Lead or support Risk Management and Risk Mitigation activities
Integrate across multiple subsystems (power, thermal, environmental control, etc.) to ensure successful development of compliant and compatible human spaceflight exploration systems
Integrate and author Formal Documentation Products
Lead or support Configuration Management and Configuration Control activities and processes
Perform Trade Studies
Lead or participate in Formal Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, and Integration Forums
Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and transparency at all times
Mentor earlier career team members
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
8+ years of systems engineering experience
Experience leading engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of systems integration and technical operations
Ability to support on-orbit or real-time mission operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10+ years of systems engineering experience
Experience working in aerospace or spaceflight programs
Familiarity with NASA ISS program and operations
Strong background in customer engineering and stakeholder management
Proven leadership in mission evaluation or real-time operations support
Advanced skills in technical integration and problem solving
Experience mentoring and developing engineering teams

pay range for Senior (Level 4): $146,200.00 - $197,800.00
