As Senior Insurance Manager, you lead the Group Insurance framework end-to-end—strategy, governance, renewals, claims, broker management and risk-aligned program design. You ensure full compliance, operational excellence and resilient protection across the Group.
You act as the central insurance authority, steering internal and external stakeholders and driving continuous improvement across systems, processes and standards.

Your main responsibilities

  • Ensure all coverages align with the defined risk appetite.
  • Lead M&A insurance due diligence and onboard acquisitions and new assets into Group programs.
  • Update internal policies regularly and maintain strong governance frameworks.
  • Policy Renewals, Claims & Operational Excellence:
  • Lead annual policy renewals, negotiations, placement coordination and documentation.
  • Ensure accurate administrative execution and reporting across all systems.
  • Handle claims oversight, stakeholder communication and process steering.
  • Optimise processes, workflows, systems and documentation for improved control and efficiency.
  • Broker Management & Stakeholder Leadership:
  • Manage Group and local brokers; set expectations, monitor performance and escalate when required.
  • Act as SPOC for technical, finance, accounting, asset management and senior management needs.
  • Ensure local program alignment with Group standards and support local entities in coverage assessments.
  • Insurance Operations, Data & Systems Ownership:
  • Define and enforce data quality standards in systems and reporting.
  • Drive system improvements, workflow automation and transparency.
  • Steer structured reporting to all stakeholders.
  • Risk Appetite, Coverage Design & Decision Support:
  • Analyse exposures and propose risk-aligned coverage limits, deductibles and structures.
  • Prepare insurance decision papers and advise internal management.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Risk to ensure coherent risk-transfer design.
  • Captive Insurance & Special Structures Management:
  • Manage captive-related matters, underwriting logic, reporting and integration.
  • Ensure compliance and efficient use of captive structures.

Your profile

  • Senior insurance leader with strong execution capability and multi-line expertise.
  • 10+ years of extensive experience in corporate insurance, financial lines, liability, property and technical coverages.
  • Experience with M&A insurance and integration of acquired assets.
  • Strong governance mindset, reporting skills and policy maintenance experience.
  • Hands-on, structured, process-optimising mindset with resilience and accuracy.
  • Experienced in captives and international insurance environments.
  • Fluent in English, German and French is a plus.
