Role accountabilities:

  1. Assures that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards.
  2. Develop panel layout, control schematics, Control system Architecture, Junction Box wiring, Loops and wiring drawing, Hookup drawings, Material take off etc.
  3. Develop typical I&C Installation Details.
  4. Prepare various layouts like Instrument location layout, Cable routing layout, Control room layout etc.
  5. 3D Modelling for offline Instruments, Junction Boxes, Panels, Trays preferably using Revit or Equivalent software based on project specifications, P&IDs, and engineering drawings.
  6. Conduct clash detection analysis and resolve interferences between all discipline elements to enhance constructability.
  7. Participate and lead I&C during 3D Model review workshop.
  8. Should be able to read P&IDs and identify Instrument, signal type, pneumatic & power requirement, Installation requirement etc.
  9. Maintains company drawings, templates, and standards current with applicable local codes.
  10. Acts as a liaison between I&C department and other departments and disciplines including Process / HVAC / Piping / Automation / Electrical/Civil & structure etc.
  11. Address site queries from contractors.
  12. Prepare “As built” documents based on site markups.
  13. Execute tasks within the allocated budget and schedule parameters.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma preferably in Instrumentation or any other engineering discipline with certified course
  • Proven experience as a 3D Designer using Autodesk Revit or similar 3D modelling tools in related industries.
  • Minimum 4 to 14 years of experience in AutoCAD, 3D Modelling.
  • Medium English language skills.

Software Skills:

Microsoft Office including a proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Navisworks.

Nice to have:

  • Advance excel knowledge for effective and efficient use of Instrument database for design deliverables/drawings.
  • Experience of Building management system, HVAC control, Environmental monitoring system.
  • Awareness of Allen Bradley (Rockwell Automation) PLC, Emerson Charms I/O system.
  • Flexible to work on cross discipline activities
  • Advanced English language skills.
