The Boeing Company’s Learning and Development Production System Training (PST) organization is seeking a Senior Instructional System Designer to join our team in Hazelwood, MO
This role is a multifaceted role so the ideal candidate would have extensive knowledge in instructional design, adult learning theory and overseeing curriculum development. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning programs focused on production training. This role requires strong project management skills, and the ability to design and develop effective training programs in compliance with customer requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement learning curriculum for electrical, mechanical, structural, avionics and flightline systems, aligned to the appropriate processes and procedures
Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs and create learning objectives
Design and develop engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, videos, and job aids
Apply instructional design models and learning theories, including Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE), adult learning principles, and multimedia learning strategies
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback, and make necessary improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including human resources, production operations, and engineering, to ensure alignment and integration of the learning program with other organizational initiatives
Be cognizant of budget, including vendor selection, to optimize resources and achieve cost-efficiency
Ensure Boeing learning content is aligned to the needs of the business and is compliant with Defense Contract Management Agency Ground Operating Procedures, Date of Work, Federal Aviation Administration, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, etc.
Travel to other Boeing locations to support local training
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience with instructional principles and methodology (e.g. curriculum development, delivery, summary, assessment, remediation, motivation, engagement, etc.)
5+ years of experience developing adult learning curriculums
5+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience communicating and presenting with the ability to effectively convey complex information to global audiences
Experience developing e-Learnings
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher
Possess an active US security clearance at the Secret level or above
5+ years of experience in designing and developing training programs in a manufacturing or aviation environment
Experience with aviation maintenance or manufacturing
