We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Inspection Method Engineer to support a major client in the Oil & Gas sector. You will be responsible for optimizing inspection strategies, implementing risk-based inspection (RBI) methodologies, and ensuring asset integrity in compliance with industry standards and Italian regulations.

  • Develop and continuously optimize inspection methodologies in line with applicable industry standards and national legislation
  • Update and maintain inspection plans in the Inspection Data Management System (IDMS – ANTEA) based on plant modifications, new scopes, and RBI outputs.
  • Support data collection and execution follow-up for RBI studies related to the Oil Centre and Flowlines.
  • Adjust inspection programs and schedules based on corrosion threats and RBI results.
  • Draft and compile monthly inspection reports using collected field data.
  • Collaborate with the Corrosion Engineer to assess risks and refine inspection focus areas.
  • Prepare Written Schemes of Examination (WSE) according to international and company-specific standards.
  • Coordinate and schedule inspection activities by participating in the “5-week look ahead” meetings and updating the 5-month Integrated Operational Plan
  • Act as liaison between Inspection Authorities and the Company.
  • Monitor and audit contractor performance and ensure inspection quality onsite.
  • Support the General Inspection Service Contract team in daily operations.
  • Ensure the accuracy of KPIs and inspection feedback reporting.
  • Validate inspection reports and oversee anomaly management via SAP notifications (CMMS)
  • Ensure all inspection activities are compliant with HSE standards and national safety regulations, minimizing production disruptions.
  • Participate in weekly and daily coordination meetings related to inspection activities.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial inspection with a strong background in methods and field practices.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas sector

Certifications (Preferred):

  • ISO 9712 (NDT)
  • API 510 – Pressure Vessel Inspector
  • API 570 – Piping Inspector
  • API 653 – Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector

Technical Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with:

    • UNI EN 16991:2018

    • Italian Regulations (DM 239/04, D. Lgs 81/08)

    • API standards (510, 570, 653)

Skills:

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in databases, reporting tools, and SAP/CMMS systems
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Languages:

  • Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
