Te Tūranga – About the role
As part of the Precision Media team, the Senior Insights & Measurement leads the creation of strategic, insight led, 360 media plans that align with client brand objectives and business challenges. You will drive the end to end planning and evaluation process, connecting insights, media strategy, commercial outcomes and client growth. You’ll also lead and mentor junior specialists.

Some of your responsibilities will be to:

  • Act as a senior strategic advisor to Client Services and Sales, leading data driven, insight led recommendations that shape client media strategies.
  • Own the development of 360 media plans for assigned clients, ensuring they are built from robust insight, category strategy alignment and measurable outcomes.
  • Proactively identify growth opportunities including upsell, cross sell and media optimisation to drive incremental value for suppliers and Foodstuffs.
  • Lead the end to end measurement framework, ensuring campaign evaluations are robust, actionable and tied to commercial outcomes.
  • Translate data into compelling stories, guiding clients and internal partners through the “what”, the “so what”, and “what next”.
  • Oversee annual planning, quarterly reviews and strategic insight deep-dives, ensuring we connect media performance to category and brand trends.
  • Build strong cross functional relationships with Merchandise, Marketing and Client Services to ensure media recommendations are aligned and future focused.
  • Lead training across internal and dunnhumby tools, ensuring the team leverages their full potential.

He kōrero mōu - About you
You’ll be a qualified media or insights professional with 5+ years of prior media and/or insights experience, who thrives in a fast-moving team environment and excels at managing multiple projects and priorities across various stakeholders. Ideally, you will have a strong understanding of the FMCG industry, combined with hands-on experience using insight tools for both planning and reporting. You will be adept at creating actionable insights and translating complex data into clear, compelling narratives for both internal and external audiences.

You’ll also:

  • Be a strong collaborator, with a proven ability to coordinate across departments to drive results and the ability to build strategic recommendations
  • Have strong communication and presentation skills - experience in building and landing a compelling narrative to an internal and external audience.
  • Have effective time management skills, ability to work calmly under pressure whilst meeting deadlines.
  • Be results-driven, self- motivated and highly goal-oriented
