Job Description

TPG Telecom started with a belief that we can make things better for Australians. We believe in the power of meaningful relationships to support vibrant, connected communities where everyone belongs. It’s our why; our reason to exist. Now, we’re proud to be one of Australia’s leading mobile and internet providers. We’re not just redefining telco, we’re changing its course. And you play a role in that. A big one. The opportunities are plenty for those who are ready to accept the challenge. Could that be you?

Your opportunity:

The Senior Insights Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping TPG Telecom’s consumer‑led strategy by building deep customer and non‑customer insights that inform brand, segmentation, product proposition and marketing decisions across the organisation.

Operating as a thought leader, the role drives a ‘Consumer Champion’ focus by leading strategic, insight‑driven projects—across qualitative and quantitative research—to influence transformation programs and commercial outcomes.

Partnering closely with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams, the Senior Insights Manager champions the adoption of integrated insights frameworks, manages key research programs and agency relationships, and provides expert analysis that guides sentiment, brand development, market share growth, and customer experience improvements.

This position requires strong strategic capability, leadership in insight‑led decision making, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations that shape long‑term organisational strategy.

You'll make impact by:

  • Lead and run end-to-end market research programs including tracking and measurement of brand/ad performance, ad hoc quantitative and qualitative studies.
  • Oversee supplier and agency partnerships to ensure projects are delivered with high quality outputs, effectively run on time, at speed and within budget
  • Generate actionable insights for the business by analysing, synthesizing multiple data sources and translating findings into clear commercial implications
  • Design and scope research programs to solve a business challenge by utilising a strong background and expertise in research methodologies and data technical skills
  • Present findings and influence senior stakeholders: align stakeholders on objectives and outcomes, and drive consumer-centric strategy

What you’ll bring:

  • Advanced market research expertise, 10+ years' experience (strong hands-on experience in quantitative and qualitative research techniques eg. segmentation, driver/conjoint analysis, tracking, U&A, brand strategy etc)
  • Technical data literacy and utility of tools such as SPSS, Q/DisplayR, and/or PowerBI, dashboards, Qualtrics etc
  • Strategic thinking and commercial acumen: the ability to prioritise and drive research with the biggest business impact and ROI and what closely with strategy across multiple brands and products
  • Storytelling: experience and confidence turning complex data into clear, compelling narratives
  • Experience working across multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively with a range of senior stakeholders across business divisions to advocate for customer and evidence-based decision making.

What's in it for you?

  • Flexible hybrid way of working (from home and office)
  • ‘Stay Connected Mobile’ – Access to a free mobile plan
  • ‘Stay Connected NBN’ – Access to a free, high‑speed NBN plan (up to 500 Mbps)
  • ‘Your Leave’ - an additional 4 days of leave to be used whenever you like - every year
  • Access to TPG Learning Hub platform and internal development opportunities
  • Access to Corporate Partner Discounts
