Your Opportunity

Primero is looking for an experienced Senior Injury Management Advisor to join our Health, Safety and Environment team. This role is a permanent full-time role based in Osborne Park and will be reporting to the Health & Wellbeing Manager.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery of injury prevention and management services under early intervention, state-based worker’s compensation systems and fitness for work process
  • Management of service providers including medical / allied health, insurer and broker
  • Support / advice to project and site HSE, HR and operational teams in managing injuries and personal conditions onsite
  • Statistical reporting and analysis – internal and regulatory
  • Mentoring / coaching support for Injury Management Advisor role
  • Coordination and management of the pre-employment medical screening process including service provider management, results screening and health management planning
  • Development, implementation and monitoring of wellness initiatives as required, including promotional materials and training delivery
  • Facilitation and documentation of Psychosocial Risk Assessment Process as required
  • Provide support and assistance to project and corporate personnel in management of psychosocial risk
  • Facilitation and documentation of Hygiene Risk Assessment Process as required
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and ongoing development for Injury Management Advisor role including injury management services, workers compensation claims management and strategy, pre-employment medical screening and training deliver.

What You ‘Can Do’

  • The ideal candidate for this role is enthusiastic, influential and has excellent interpersonal skills. You will also meet the following criteria:
  • Allied Health (OT / Physio / Ex Phys / Nursing) or Paramedic Degree with an understanding of musculoskeletal injuries and related rehabilitation
  • Demonstrated prior experience in an employer-based injury management role
  • Provide high level decision making, conflict resolution and problem-solving in a case management environment.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills vital to providing support and advice to leaders at all levels of the business.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a busy team environment.
  • Ability to manage remote case work via telehealth / online conferencing.
  • Specialised knowledge of worker's compensation and injury management practices and processes in relevant legislations.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Experience in developing and delivering injury prevention programmes preferred but not essential.
