Job Description


We are looking for a
Senior Manager, Infrastructure Operations

to lead a team of infrastructure engineers responsible for supporting, maintaining, and evolving mission-critical production environments.


This is a
hands-on leadership role

that combines people management, technical leadership, cloud infrastructure, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will lead infrastructure engineers across both legacy and modern technology environments while actively contributing to key infrastructure and cloud initiatives.


The role will collaborate closely with
Development, Architecture, Program Management, and other technology teams

to ensure highly available, secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure services.


The ideal candidate brings extensive experience supporting complex production environments, strong expertise in
Microsoft Azure and cloud migrations

, and proven experience leading technical teams. A strong background in automation, disaster recovery, virtualization, containers, security, and SaaS infrastructure is also essential.


Responsibilities


  • Lead and manage a team of
    3–6 infrastructure engineers

    responsible for configuring, monitoring, maintaining, and expanding application infrastructure and services.

  • Provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in infrastructure projects and operational initiatives.

  • Lead
    cloud assessments, solution design, workload migrations, and cloud infrastructure implementations

    .

  • Support and optimize complex
    Microsoft Azure environments

    .

  • Lead infrastructure and application migration initiatives into cloud environments.

  • Manage and support multiple
    Azure subscriptions and tenants

    across projects and deployment workflows.

  • Implement and support
    Azure Site Recovery

    and other disaster recovery technologies.

  • Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, mentoring, and career development to infrastructure engineers.

  • Drive
    process improvements, operational efficiencies, automation, and service quality enhancements

    .

  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues across multiple application tiers.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering
    server and network topology, infrastructure components, configurations, and operational procedures

    .

  • Develop, maintain, test, and execute
    Disaster Recovery (DR) plans

    .

  • Collaborate with hosting providers, Managed Service Providers (MSPs), and external technical support organizations.

  • Lead
    capacity planning

    activities and define infrastructure requirements and technical specifications for new server and networking investments.

  • Support infrastructure automation using technologies such as
    Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or equivalent tools

    .

  • Support containerized environments using
    Docker or equivalent container technologies

    .

  • Develop and maintain automation and scripting solutions across
    Windows and Linux environments

    .

  • Support infrastructure security and compliance initiatives across cloud and self-hosted environments.

  • Serve as a technical project lead for major infrastructure initiatives, ensuring milestones and critical deliverables remain on track.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, and performance.

  • Participate in
    after-hours maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and on-call support

    when required.


Requisitos


  • 10+ years of experience

    in infrastructure engineering, infrastructure operations, systems administration, or application support within production environments.

  • At least
    5 years of experience in a technical leadership or management role

    .

  • Proven experience managing and mentoring
    infrastructure engineering teams

    .

  • Strong hands-on experience supporting applications and infrastructure in
    complex Microsoft Azure environments

    .

  • Experience with
    cloud assessments, architecture/design, and workload migrations

    .

  • Experience using automation technologies to support
    Azure migration projects

    .

  • Hands-on experience with
    Azure Site Recovery

    .

  • Experience creating and managing multiple
    Azure subscriptions and tenants

    .

  • Strong understanding of
    Disaster Recovery, high availability, infrastructure resiliency, and capacity planning

    .

  • Experience with
    Docker, Docker CE, Docker Data Center, or equivalent container technologies

    .

  • Experience with infrastructure automation/configuration management tools such as
    Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

    .

  • Strong scripting and automation skills across
    Windows and Linux

    environments.

  • Working knowledge of
    Microsoft SQL Server

    and the broader Microsoft technology ecosystem.

  • Knowledge of
    VMware virtualization technologies

    and cloud infrastructure within managed service environments.

  • Working knowledge of
    data center infrastructure, facilities, servers, networking, and hardware

    .

  • Experience with physical and logical security within self-hosted infrastructure environments.

  • Strong understanding of
    SaaS infrastructure and operating platforms

    , preferably at a design or architecture level.

  • Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and application issues in production environments.

  • Strong understanding of infrastructure documentation, server/network topology, monitoring, and operational best practices.

  • Excellent technical leadership, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong customer and service-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical teams and external service providers.

  • Availability to participate in
    on-call rotations and occasional after-hours maintenance activities

  • Bachelor’s degree in
    Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering, or a related technical field

    .


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience working with
    SSAE-16, SOC 1, SOC 2, or similar security and compliance frameworks

    .

  • Experience supporting large-scale or mission-critical
    SaaS platforms

    .

  • Experience working with
    Managed Service Providers (MSPs), hosting providers, and hybrid cloud environments

    .

  • Strong background in infrastructure modernization and migration from legacy environments to cloud platforms.
