Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Bristol or Corsham

Working Pattern: Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office

Salary: £60,000-75,000 + Benefits

The Role:

Parico is seeking a talented Senior Infrastructure Engineer who thrives on solving complex Public Sector challenges and enjoys working in a small, high-performing team. You’ll have the freedom to roll up your sleeves, get hands-on with systems and deliver innovative technical solutions while helping maintain platform stability and resolving high-severity incidents.

Working closely with the Tech Lead, you will drive system changes, improve services and provide expert 4th-line support across a complex infrastructure environment. As part of a team building greenfield systems and services, you’ll work with cloud and on-premise infrastructure, shape operational platforms and recommend best practices to enhance our infrastructure capabilities.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Delivering system changes and service improvements across the infrastructure estate

• Providing 4th line support, including incident resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis

• Deploying, configuring and supporting components across Windows, physical infrastructure and virtualised environments

• Maintaining and enhancing core infrastructure services: AD, Backup, Exchange, RDS, databases, and patching, while ensuring Security Enforcing Functions (SEFs) compliance

• Producing and maintaining design and operational documentation, provide early-life support, and ensure smooth handover to live teams

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Excellent experience with Windows + Linux infrastructure, physical and virtualised environments

• Hands-on knowledge of AD, Backup, Exchange, RDS, databases, patching and associated infrastructure services

• Familiarity with SEFs and secure infrastructure design principles

• Proven track record in 3rd/4th line support, complex incident resolution and root cause analysis

• Skilled in producing clear architecture and operational documentation and contributing to infrastructure design
